Hematoid Quartz Crystal Skull
Measures Approximately: 7 1/4" x 4 3/4" x 6"
Weighs Approximately: 11 lbs 14 oz
This is a very impressive crystal skull with deep striations of hematite with girasol. It's difficult to say whether there is also rose quartz present because the red hematite may be reflecting some pink color into the girasol in some areas, but it is possible it is there. This is a natural hematoid quartz that has not been heated.
Hematoid quartz is ferruginous, colored red, yellow, or brownish orange by iron oxides like hematite and limonite. It may be natural or heated to enhance the color by reducing its water content like carnelian. The name is derived from the Greek haimatoeides (“resembling blood”). While any variety of quartz can be ferruginous, this massive Madagascan material is iron bearing rose quartz or girasol quartz.
Metaphysically, hematoid quartz when it is expressed through rose quartz is called Sacred Heart. Sacred Heart is associated with deep heart intervention during present and recently experienced trauma. It supports the nurturing of the emotional body, but with an emphasis of not shutting down in despair. It's an 'urgent care' and 'suck it up and deal' crystal that supports remaining proactive and present with the situation, such that it can be navigated as gracefully as possible. When hematoid quartz is expressed through girasol, it directs healing and integration energies into the systems of masculine and feminine imbalances or fractures of wholeness. Often the natural and unheated hematoid quartz material has a bit of rose quarz, girasol, and smoky girasol quartz within it. When smoky girasol is present, it adds additional elements of protection, stabilization, and grounding.
I did a Crystal Whisper reading for this massive skull. The first theme cards were "3D Integrity" with "Abundance and Prosperity". That's an easy one to interpret. A lot of time 3D Integrity, which is a phrase I use to mean "to do regular world functioning and the business of managing your life with competence", goes hand and hand with being able to earn enough to take care of your needs with enough to do the things that make your heart sing. Both of the cards were pulled together and mean sometimes the same thing to people, so it got double validation.
The second theme was defined by the cards "Shamanic Path", "Multi-Dimensional Healing", and "Trauma Care". Ooo, boy, ok. Obviously we're talking about deep work with a skilled healer who is a trauma worker. This is super hard work, to go into the darkest places to support a fellow being to be empowered to pull themselves out of their shadows. Again, I always gauge a reading by how many times the cards are redundant. I want to see the cards that pull "in theme" with each other to make perfect sense. A shamanic path IS multi-dimensional and almost always involves addressing deep trauma in order to heal it. This crystal skull has game, yo.
The third theme was defined by the cards "Focus an Mental Clarity" and "Perspective Modification". I mean, come on. Those are also perfect together and what I would consider double validation. What is mental clarity, if not the process of healing and upgrading distortions that have been held in falsehood or trauma?
So, in summary, this isn't glitter and just looking on the bright side kinda skull. This is a very serious worker and what I call "woke". If you are the next keeper, please cut and paste the reading into your files because once the listing is sold, the description goes away.
Nader Kawar, owner of Enter the Earth, is a crystal skull connoisseur. Over the years he has made it a mission to produce some of the most anatomically correct crystal skull carvings on the market. Our "high definition" skulls are among the most highly sought by true crystal skull enthusiasts because each one is an individual work of art. The high definition skulls are labor intensive, individually carved, and use the most beautiful raw stone materials possible.
Crystal skulls represent many things to many people. Museums around the world display a variety of crystal skull carvings that are considered to be ancient artifacts. However, there is great debate about the age and origin of the crystal skulls, which were first documented in the 19th and early 20th century. Unlike organic materials, there is no reliable test to date the manufacture of stone objects. Whatever their true origin, they have become symbols in both popular culture and modern spirituality, representing ancient wisdom, the ancestors, and attained human enlightenment and higher consciousness/mind.
