Natural Smoky Quartz Pebble
The smoky quartz at Enter the Earth is one of the stones that had me enthusiastically handing in my resume for consideration over 4 years ago. When I went into the store, I noticed right away that their smoky quartz was natural. I mean... it had not been "treated" to make it darker by ~irradiating~ it. Out of all the stone treatments out there, I think irradiation offends me the most and makes me the most hostile. Smoky quartz is routinely exposed to flippin radiation in order to make it darker, and therefore, more valuable in the eyes of most sellers.
The smoky quartz we get from Madagascar is completely natural. These pebbles have been hand-polished (not tumbled), but otherwise... nada has been done to them. I absolutely adore that. So, yeah... it's not typical to see smoky quartz the way that Mamma made it, but this is it.
I have a fun story to tell about this too. I was taking photos of these smoky quartz pebs to get ready to post them. I sorta fumbled with the bag on the way over to the photo booth and one fell to the floor and the other, quite literally, made a slam dunk into my cup of tea. I mean... right in my tea. So lately and I've been doing clearing, grounding, and added protection work, as well as doing actual physical detoxification work. This is when I say to others, "The Universe is trying to tell you something." I actually have a little dance for it that kinda rips off Pee Wee Herman. But I digress.
Smoky quartz is probably stone number one for grounding, stability, added protection, and clearing your field of things that ought not be there. I'm not sure if I'm comforted that the smoky quartz dove into my cup by itself or if I should start looking over my shoulder more often. Things that make you go hmmmm.
These pebs are so clear that in one of the photos, you can actually see the pile of stones behind it through the one I was photographing. It makes it look like an egg sack or something.
A stock photo is used, but I really do my best to get a representative group. You will receive ONE of these pebbles. They measure approximately 1 1/2 x 1 1/4 x 3/4" and weigh approximately 1.8 oz.
